Your Beautiful Balance

We have gone over a lot of information, the last thirteen days, and it can be overwhelming, I know.

I want to encourage you that these are not overnight changes we are making. This is not a prescriptive plan. The information I am providing in the modules of this course are to be used as tools to help you find what I call your beautiful balance.

The intersection between health and intuition, nourishment and pleasure- that is your beautiful balance.

The funny thing is, I don't really believe in balance. Balance suggests a specific ratio, and I believe this is different for everyone. It's about harmony, all parts of your eating coming together in a way that makes you and your family feel good, improves health and satisfies.

This might change if you are going through a specific health concern.

It might change day to day.

It might change week to week.

Sometimes it might include more kale. Sometimes it might include more donuts. Listening to your body is key.

Nourishing your body with a variety of foods is essential.

But it's OK to eat just for pleasure, too.

Let me repeat that: it's ok to eat just for pleasure, too.

I believe ALL FOODS FIT in a balanced, real foods approach.

Recognizing hunger cues and practicing mindful, intuitive eating is paramount to finding your beautiful balance in real food eating. It's not going to happen in a day, a week, or even a month for most people. This is an ongoing practice of tuning in, listening to what your body wants, cultivating mindfulness, allowing yourself to eat all foods-- but also taking into consideration what balance of foods on a daily basis feels good.

Nourishment. Intuition. Pleasure. It is at the crux of what I do, and what I hope to encourage you. Don't stress over portion sizes or body types- use these as information, but listen in. Your best tool is YOUR body.
